Transitioning from Horizon Education to Progress Learning
- If you were previously a Horizon Education customer, we welcome you to Progress Learning. Click here to register for our session tailored for School Administrators to discover where to find all of the familiar tools from the Horizon Education platform. You will learn how to set up classes, schedule your first assessment and access powerful reports you are already familiar with.

- This is a come and go forum where you can get expert help as you transition from Horizon Education to Progress Learning. Here you will have access to a member of the Training and Support Teams so you can ask questions about features, technical issues, or any thing else you need help with. - Step 1: Getting Started
- In this session, we will cover how to set up classes and set student accommodations. We will cover how to assign and administer the first assessment. (Choose the session that fits your position)
- Step 2: Administer the ACT® or SAT® Assessment and move on to the next step.
- Step 3: Data Dive
- Discover how to turn data into action in this hands-on session focused on ACT® and SAT® prep. We’ll explore tools and reports that help you track student progress, identify learning gaps, and support targeted test preparation.
- Step 4: Platform Overview
- In this session, you’ll learn how to use Progress Learning’s instructional resources, build custom assessments and assignments, leverage individualized study plans, and tap into powerful reports to guide daily instruction.
- Step 5: Build an Assessment
- In this session, we’ll show you how to use the assessment builder to tailor assessments to your needs. Learn how to adjust Depth of Knowledge (DOK), select specific standards, choose question types, and more to create customized assessments that meet your goals.
- Step 6: Get Ongoing Support
- Join this come-and-go session to ask any and all questions about our platform. This pop-in forum is designed for all educators who are utilizing Progress Learning for ACT® and SAT® Readiness.

Progress Learning ACT®/SAT® Informational Resources
Technical Report on the New Enhanced ACT® and PreACT® Suite of Exams:
This technical document outlines how the new enhanced ACT and PreACT suite of assessments are formatted and scored in Progress Learning. It details changes to the format, including timing, item distribution, and passage lengths for the English, Math, and Reading Tests. Additionally, it explains how scaled scores are calculated using re-scaling and Conditional Standard Error of Measurement (CSEM) values. Finally, the document describes how Progress Learning has updated their benchmark assessments and scaled score charts to align with the new ACT and PreACT.
